The body of a Russian diplomat was found on a street in Berlin. The latter looked like he had fallen from the upper floor of the Russian Embassy building. The Der Spiegel news report states that
The body was found by Berlin police escorting the building on October 19. Officers made an emergency call. But the emergency medical team was unable to resuscitate.
“We know about the death of the Russian ambassador. We ask that you understand that we cannot provide further details due to the individual rights of the deceased and their relatives,” a German foreign ministry spokesman told NBC News.
German police declined to comment and referred all questions to state prosecutors. But state prosecutors did not deny or confirm Der Spiegel's report, while there were no previously reported bodies found outside the Russian embassy.
