I installed the filter on the advice of Nissan Titan Oil Filter who is in charge of the service. The argument was iron: he took a used Mahle filter and my Chinese one, cut them apart and showed me the difference. My Chinese one had all the filter element folded up and of course did not filter anything, while the Mahle one was in place and in perfect condition (as much as it is possible for a used filter)
